Established in 1882, Kokugakuin University was one of the first private universities to gain legal approval in Japan. Through education and research, the university hopes to create global citizens by deepening its students’ understanding of both Japan and the rest of the world. From an IT standpoint, Kokugakuin University has long relied on Microsoft software. This includes Windows Server with Hyper-V that runs on the many campus servers it uses to create virtual environments, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite that students and teachers rely on. The university runs WordPress on those servers, but security became an issue when that content management system proved vulnerable. University IT staff and faculty turned to Prime Strategy and its solution that combines Microsoft Azure and KUSANAGI for Microsoft Azure.
